Why We Miss The Wayona Lan Stories

Tap a book to explore

Some of the people we love most are the ones we stop seeing, folded into our mornings, our silences, the small rooms of memory we keep walking past.

The sister. The mother. The friend. The quiet one who stayed close enough to become ordinary.

These stories ask, gently, the question we spend our lives avoiding: why do we miss the ones still beside us, while there is still time to know them?

The collection

Which story feels like theirs?

The gold beneath

There is more within a life
than we see at first glance.

Our digital illustrations evoke impasto paint over a brushed-gold ground. Gold appears between the painted strokes, much as a memory can bring a familiar place to life.

For Wayona Lan, that light speaks of what a person carries within: the years, the love, and the stories still worth hearing.

The gold is part of the digital artwork. Physical cover and page finishes will be confirmed with each edition.

A signature of care.

Our custom Wayona Lan signature lettering brings the warmth of a handwritten dedication to the page. Small water-drop finishes soften the capital letters; fine curls give the lowercase a gentler ending. For us, the water drop represents a small act of care whose effect carries beyond its moment.

A rose to begin. A rose to remember.

Wyona’s favorite flower becomes the collection’s quiet signature. The framed gold rose opens each chapter, giving its story a place of honor. The rose with leaves and fine gold lines marks the close of the reading.

The withered rose, its stem bare of leaves, belongs to the chapter’s quiet end pages. It leaves room to breathe and reflect. Its gold remains, a reminder that change does not erase what is precious.

The pleasure of giving a book

Write their name inside.
Make time for their story.

For your mom or dad. An aunt whose table always has room for you. A friend you wish you saw more often.

Give it at Christmas, bring it on a Thanksgiving visit, or mark the New Year with a few pages together. For someone living in long-term care, it may be a welcome reason to sit, read, and talk.
